Holy smokes man, thats a huge amp, you could surf on that thing. But ive seen some pretty good systems in the past, pushed by Memphis amps, enjoy. Id' like to see were you put that tiny little amp, LoL.

lol i threw a box together lastnight. by the time i got done it was like 6 in the morning. but it hits pretty good. i got another box coming soon.i took out everything in the back to make some room for my box. ill take pics i just barely got the amp to fit in the back. i gotta get another alt. for it though like around 120-130amp. with only 80 amps its ok no dimming or anything that memphis is highly efficient.

Ahhh the memphis amps, gotta be the best amps out right now. I dont like to run anything else in my cars their amps are tuff I actually run their PR series amps at 1/2 ohm all day long.

Definitally get a cap on the amp, only downfall to memphis amps is if you dont give it enough power you lose quality or ruin the amps... CAP CAP CAP

no no no caps are bad business. i have a cap and i wont be using it very much long after i get a new alt. it dims just a little bit. but not enough that u can really tell u have to be really lookin at the lights.

Caps keeps the power going to the amp and does nothing for your lights... which is good cuase loss of power to the amp is bad for memphis amps.. even with a alternator upgrade I would keep the cap.

thats what they advertise but its bot goin to happen. yeah they may help some. but in the long run it will only put more stress on your alt. no cap will help with 1500 rms of power only an alt. will help. trust me on this i do plenty or research on many things. if ur lights dim then that means ur overall voltage is dropping. that means ur alt is not putting out enough power to ur battery to keep it charged everytime the bass hits.

I have to agrea with Smartass on this one. Your doing a real smart thing by upgrading your alternator to a bigger one, which is need with the amp you are pushing. But when that amp is pushing those low bass notes, it's trying to suck all the power out of that wire. The voltage will start to drop becuase of drawing so much for that bass note that the amp could possibly shut off due to lack of power. Which is where the cap comes in as soon as that low bass note hits and the voltage starts to drop, the cap release's and helps stabilize the voltage for an instant moment, it then charges back up so it can release again with another low bass note. It's more of a voltage stabalizer than anything, so there are no huge flucuations in voltage and your amp wont shut down due to the lack of power. Please dont think we are trying to harp on you, we are just trying to help you out. Just my 2 cents on that subject, but i stil wont pics of where you put that beast of an amp.

I use to build SPL trucks for Memphis back in 2002 and uses their 500watt M class amps and ran them at 1/2 on the quad coil 1 ohm subs (4 subs 8 amps) I had 3 bat caps and a 50 farad car plus 16 batteries and 2 alternators. Broke every record in Meca that year with the truck.

My voltage regulator for that car went up to 17volts and when it dropped below 13 all the amps would clip.

That PR1000 amp is the best amp in the world. Use those at 1/2 ohm all the time with a direct 0 gauge input to the amp its amazing. I put 4 of them into a van with 4 15. Oscope all the amps and put out about 1800watts per amp. Not bad for a $400 amp PR1000 = "Gorilla"

good job on getting the amp, but I have heard nothing bt bad things about Memphis after they redid the amps last year mostly the 1000D I have seen cars that had caught on fire because of the amps.
I personaly love the Massive p3000, or the MA HK-4000D for lots of power, both amps are high current amps, and I have seen two HK-4000Ds cut a truck off because of the power draw.

they only burn cause people try to drop the ohms down past the minimum ohm and because half the time they are not cooled correctly.

Yeah I remember you. I really like ROE, lots of info on subs that I had never heard of until recently, like Adire, RE, and MD.

It's up in the air... I think I want to get either three Adire Brahma 10's, or three RE SE 10's. I'm leaning toward the Brahma's...
