i got a set of 4 (led strips) at pepboys for like $70 they were about a foot and a half each. I will post pics of that possibly later on today, going to change back to my stock steelies later.

Its pretty simple, you should get a glue gun or some black silicone, and 8 screws(drywalls work) and a jack.

Default flusing the 5.25

I got a set of mismatched 5.25 components and i had the mid range woofer zip tied to the dash. that being said my dremel and I changed that.

There were not many major cuts involved there were two humps where you screwed the old screws in from the other side, and I had to cut into the support that holds the dash to the frame. pretty simple and the speakers are in there with three solid screws, so im happy! Pics Below:

I am looking to move to all kicker speakers soon, so if anyone wants to donate......

Good deal. Couple suggestions. The screws that you have coming from below the dash, just drill a hole where they come through, then run the screw down from the top with either a nut or a speed clip. Should make it a little cleaner, and less chance of ripping your hand open from that screw pointing at the windshield.
Also, have you thought about trying to seal up around the speaker, where it meets the dash. Usually get better response when you can seal everything up. Try some weatherstripping or butyl strips right around the top of the speaker basket, and see if you notice a sound improvement.
Just some ideas.
What's in the doors, or going in the doors?

I will be sealing the dash speakers once i get a kicker set. I already noticed a big sound improvement over the zip ties lol.

I just test fitted my new side mirrors and will be wiring them tonight to see how they look. I think I will be filling sanding and smoothing before painting. I paid $30 but with a little work they have potential.

On the doors is Sound Destroyer mat via my sponsor. Its was very easy to install and i noticed a big difference in the noise coming through my doors. I am doing the rest of the floor and front wheel wheels on the car this weekend.

In the doors are Kicker 6.50 SS series midbass speakers, they are great! They give my front stage a warm tone that is serious!

Thanks for the comments, and ideas!

I got a 12x24 piece of sheet metal and put sound destroyer mat on one side. Then I used 12 self tapping screws to strap that b*tch to the roof slats. I used some clamps to test fit the screen, traced the outlines and screwed the mounting plate to hold it there until I move my dome light in the front. That way I can use the dome light fading trigger using this post.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ght=dome+light

I will be moving the old dome light to the front area. Hope you all enjoy! I will post the wiring direction when i get done.

Later,

moe

ok the tv won't be finished until tomorrow, I got a crazy idea and will decide if it will fly or not. However I have been wanting to move to a sealed box and only use the ported one for spl. So i took some spare change and went to Lowes and did this:

Here is a test fit

then compared to my old box

started with the corners

bracing required

measured top and drew cutout for the speakers.

Now the box it a little small I'm only getting 2.91sqft without any displacement so thats in the middle of the 1.76 - 4.0 recommended for the sealed enclosures via kicker.

not sure how im gonna cover this baby yet, gonna give it some time so i can figure out what i wanna do. I will let it sit overnight and then cut out the speakers in the morning. This is designed for sql cause i thought with the tv/dvd/navigation I would want to move to surround at some point. This was just a logical step in that process.

I will hopefully have the tv mounted and all the other bells and whistles loaded by that time. I will probably install some cathodes in the engine bay if i get alittle energy.

later,

Moe

lookin good!

as to an ealier stated comment about 0 guage being resistant. it is, but nowhere ar enough to have any real effect. if it was that big of a problem then -8 guage wouldn't be used for live audio applications...

after lookin at you work, looks crazy sweet, but one thing i noticed, is i looks as if you removed you head rests, if you get in a wreck, thats very dangerous. I took mine out till some one pointed this out to me and reinstalled them so i didnt break my neck. BUT, you work, sweet, keep up the good work!!!!

Default got the first set of rims

Ok so the 16's are still on the way here from cali but I got a set of 18's and just finished painting two of them. They are beautiful, the fronts are 8.5 and the rears are 9.5. needless to say I am waiting on a set of OTG spacers so that the rear will even consider fitting. Hopefully the fitment will be ok, we will see......

I cant wait for the 16's.......
