I went to Orvacs today to get some new toys. (Orvacs is an electronics superstore in Fullerton, CA) There were two other xB's in the parking lot, must have been other great minds out looking for mods today. Anyway, I picked up two new rocker switches. They have some good points and bad points. Good: They illuminate with the dash lights. Good: they have icons on them. Bad: they are orange/amber, the color I have worked so hard to change on my dash.

My camera sucks at close range with the flash but you get the idea. One switch has the lamp icon and the other has a musical note. The lamp switch is hooked up to my fog lights and the musical note is for my amp. The stock switch holes had to be enlarged for the switches to fit but it went OK. I will attempt to change the plastic to blue or try a bulb change. The cost of each was only #3.95.

*Notice the condition of the oven door, that is courtesy of Scion of Cerritos. They jacked it up while installing my quick shift kit. They ordered a new one and asked me to come in so they could install it. I picked it up at the parts counter, they are NEVER touching my Box again.

 

Does the oven door clear the switches when it opens? I got a blue led rocker switch from Pep Boys for my subwoofer. It was the only thing I could find and the door doesn't clear. So I am looking. I am planning on mounting fog lights so I am going to be running the same set up. I like your CF dash.

 

No worries on clearing the oven door. I did the clear corners this weekend so I didn't have a chance to try and change the orange color, maybe next weekend.
