Hey guys just wondering a few things. I am running an Alpine IVA-W205. I am thinking about getting two 8 or 10L7 subs. Is anyone running these with a JL 500/1. This is what I am thinking of running in my XB. Any help/suggestions let them fly.

 

What are the specs on the subs? I have recently done a ton of research on amps and sub, best methods for matching.. yada yada... The 500.1 should drive 2 - 8s or even 10s fine, consider getting dual voice coil subs to give you the greatest flexibility in wiring and consider your subs ohms based on amp specs. Another words if you want to run your subs at 2ohms, A. make sure your amp is 2ohm or even 1 ohm stable B. be sure you wire your subs properly for the ohms you want. Wiring the subs in different configs gives you different resistance. Check out www.the12volt.com there is a ton of info that will help you spec, install and wire properly. Good Luck!
