Default New TWM Shift **** Designs: We want your opinion!

Hi Everyone,

We recently finished up a run of new shift **** prototypes which we'll be putting into production soon. We will be producing all of these ***** in the future however we're trying to determine which order to release them in. It would be greatly appreciated if you could vote and let us know what your favorite is and leave any comments you may have in this thread.

Also, if interest is there we can accept pre-orders on these ***** alone or as a combo with one of the short shifters from www.twmperformance.com (in this case you'll be given a discount on the **** as well). There will be a lead time for any of the ***** which will vary depending on the order we decide on for production...

Here are pictures of the *****:

M1
One of the most classic shift **** designs ever has now been perfected by adding unparallel weight. This perfectly machined sphere will fit comfortably in your hand while still acting as a counterweight during shifting.

A6
Brother to the M1, the A6 is also a spherical **** which adds a short collar for those that want more material between the shift boot and shift ****. It is also weighted to add performance and comfort while shifting.

Sawed Off
Short, compact and packing a surprising punch our new Sawed Off shift **** is designed to work with vehicles with and without a reverse lock mechanism. Based on our extremely popular .44 Magnum shift ****, the Sawed Off is similar in weight and diameter but shorter in height and counter bored to accommodate the reverse lock found in cars like the 2002-2003 Maxima and Subaru WRX STI.

Panther V1
The first of a pair of Panther shift *****, the V1 features very smooth curves and a larger diameter at it's top to facilitate many different grip positions. Also, because virtually all of its weight is in it's upper section it is an ever more efficient counter weight during shifting.

Phoenix
With a smooth, elliptical shape the Phoenix will feel like it was made to fit in the palm of your hand. Also featuring more height adjustability than any previous TWM shift ****, it will allow you to select nearly any **** height your desire.

Tomahawk
Similar to the Phoenix in height the Tomahawk offers a slightly more angular shape with a flattened top. This **** also features a great deal of height adjustability and can be gripped using a variety of hand positions.

Type R - Weighted
After numerous requests we have decided to improve on the classic Type R shift **** design by creating a weighted Type R style shift ****. The world famous smooth shape of this **** is already well known but never before has it been offered as a weighted performance part. Get JDM styling while still substantially improving your shift feel...

You can view these ***** or purchase any of our existing designs on our site as well, www.twmshiftknobs.com.

Thanks and we look forward to your feedback.

I like the A6. It almost like the one I have now. It is a perfect fit for me. Plus, it is a nice suttle design. Oh ya, for some reason if you need some one to test something let me know!!

Is it just me or is the Type-R missing from the poll list? I like that one a bit more. Also, wrapping them in leather or at least having it as an option is a MUST. It gets so hot in parts of socal too (at least where I live) and I don't want to lose skin layers from my palm.

I like all of them, but the Tomahawk especially for my automatic. Can you combine a preorder discount with your military discount, by chance?

A6, all the way. I can't wait to see that one hit the mkt, though I'm curious how it'd be priced. I know that the voodoo **** with a collar is only about $40 or so.

I will definitely get the M1 if you guys make it. Was going to settle for a IS300 ****... but those aren't weighted I think.

Sorry about forgetting about the Type R, does anyone know how I can edit a poll?

Thanks for all the feedback, it's very much appreciated and is being noted. Keep the comments coming!

I can verify the IS300 ***** ar enot weighted.... I have one.

I think I actually like the M1 better, but the A6 is a close second.

try going back and editing the original post and just adding the typr-r poll option. should work...

back to the poll though... i like the type-r but i would love the tomahawk in the "gun blue" finish.

also

this is way to true... is there any way you guy could offer a cover. hell neoprene would work the best. you could have the cover on during daily driving and take it off for shows. then you have one less thing you have to shine... and now im gonna have to wait untill you debut some of the new *****... (preferbly the tomahawk)

whats the price range of these *****? if they're priced like the other TWM ***** at around $100 a piece in the momo range, how do these compare to momos?

Though pricing hasn't been set we expect them to be roughly in line with our current line of shift *****. What's different about these ***** is that they are all weighted and height adjustable, something that is not found in the vast majority of aftermarket shift *****.

They really are a performance/esthetic part as opposed to just a decorative part.

Thanks,

Karel

please tell me that these will be specifically threaded to the TWM short shifter, and not the typical crappy after market universal fit/allen screw!!

I know that I am not the only one who wants nothing to do with a universal thread.

These ***** actually use a new fastening system we designed. They all come with a threaded insert that is specific to your car. This insert is then threaded into the **** itself providing a tight, set-screw free feel with a great deal of height adjustability.

We'll be providing a more in-depth outline of this system on our site shortly.

Thanks,

Karel W.
