how deep is it? is it designed to fit only a certain sub?

 

This one has 5 inches of depth, . 46 cubic feet of airspace and will only work for 8"s or smaller.

Ever consider trying to make a pair of EU700s work in there? Or is there just not enough air space?

By the way, my wife absolutely loves the CNC'd SCION logo in her QD-XB-DF.

i'm positive it's going to be amazing. my box is great and i get a ton of compliments on the looks and sound. this guy knows his stuff and knows how to build what works best.

That's an 8" MA Audio MA800XL with a 200oz double stacked magnet and dual 4ohm voice coils with a mounting depth of 4.6" and a recommended sealed volume of .50 cu. ft. Best part, its only $79 shipped from Sonic's. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2771.html#

I plan on powering it with an MA Audio Monoblock class D amp. I'll be pushing about 330w to it. Should sound great, IMO.

How exactly does that fit in? Does the 7" lip face the back, front, or one of the sides of the car. Sorry for the dumb question, I'm away in Florida right now and my car is back in Jersey... BTW... that box looks AWESOME! Great work, I'll be sure to order one asap once I get back!

Ok, that's what I thought! Now, the internal mounting depth did turn out to be 5" correct? I'm planning on putting in that 8" MA Audio sub with 4.6" depth. Also, which side will the speaker terminals be on? And finally, how much extra would it be to have it all carpeted? ... You have no idea what a blessing this is right now. Thanks again!

 

I can vouch for this guys. I bought my underseat sub box I believe it's the DF series and I was very happy with the customer service and product. I even got a surprise when I received the shipment. Thanks Frank.

 

Ok, the speaker terminals will be on the front under the 7" lip...I think. The depth is 4.75", sorry for the misprint. But that sub will definately work in there. That's a mean lookin' sub, man. I can't wait to hear how it does.
