not your usual xm/ipod xb questions
i have an 05 xb. all I want is to directly connect my xm radio (the handheld one Delphi xm2go myfi) to the aux input on the back of the radio. I DONT CARE IF THE STATION INFO DISPLAYS ON MY HEADUNIT. I just want the signal to be clean.
I know how to get to the back of the radio, I just want to know what parts I need to connect the xm unit to the HU so I can omit the FM transmitter BS.
i know there are 500 threads about this topic but there isnt one that answers my question so any help appreciated.

thanks for the responses. couple more questions.
will this power my xm radio or just send the audio signal to the head unit? does it work by me hitting the "sat" button on the head unit?

does not power the unit...the only connection to the Myfi is the line out (mini headphone jack on the bottom) you would need to plug in the car charger fo the MyFi to get charged.
I think you would hit the CD changer button, as the signal is going to be put into the CD changer inputs on the Factory HU...

you will need to run an antenna, power(for charging) and signal(the sound) wires.

anyone familiar with this device to connect xm to factory headunit?

It's made by USASpec. Looks simialr to the PIE unit mentioned above. I just can't see to get confirmation that either one of these will work with my SINGLE CD head unit.

To me, since they are talking about a "CD Changer Port" it sounds like it is different from having the 6-disc HU. It is a port on the back. An internal 6-disc would have no use for an external port, so it sounds like an option that is on the HU regardless of single or 6-disc. Just pop your HU out and make sure it has a jack like this, the one on the right:
