Default OEM deck HELPPPPPPP!!!!

Ok guys,
I sold my OEM deck to a guy in NH. I thought it should get put into ship mode, but, the deck wouldnt let me...now its installed in his customers box and is throwing an ERROR3 code...how do I fix this! I need to help this guy out ASAP!

hmmm...talk to dealer.....they'll be able to tell you what error 3 means...

From what I understand Error 3 means the disc trays are misaligned and jamming up in the radio. The dealer will swap it if still under warranty, my HU is doing it for the second time. They gave me a refurb, I'm going to request a new one this time.

Pioneer changers are notorius for this issue. They jam up.

I took mine apart, just the top of the radio and realigned the tray inside works fine and I have had no problems since.

Error 3 fix- 3 whacks to top of HU, works better than before.

How do you put the deck into "ship mode"?

Hold Disc button and track up button at the same time as you turn the ignition to acc.

Still have problem w/ used unit still in "ship mode"
What is the proper procedure, ie new from factory, to exit the ship mode???
HU works fine except for the changer getting placed in ship from seller........HELPPPPP
