I've had good luck with Crutchfield.com though I'm still looking for the "perfect" place.
eBay is a great place to buy photos of head units, instructions on how to buy $2000 systems for $100, etc. but as an actual place to exchange real money for real merchandise it has gone way downhill in the last few years.
