Default painting interior parts

i want to paint the gray pillars on the inside of my xb black. i was wondering if anybody has done this themselves and what kind of paint i should use and the steps i would have to take. i've never painted stuff like this before so that's why i ask about the steps.

Well, it was easier to help than make a smart comment.
Anytime you need help, holler it out, someone can point you in the right direction.

well since no one wants to answer your question.. everyone always says "hit the search button" just answer it.. it takes longer to look for a link for this person to just type the darn thing...

Look I did all my pillars inside my xB. I used black plastic paint from pep boys. 5 bucks a can. I got about 3 cans. Turned out great.

I used the Krylon Fusion paint. Took about two-three cans I think to do all six pillars.

I didn't and it holds up fine. The only scratch I have is where a windshield replacement guy scratched it.

I notice in your picture your Seatbelt holders, (i don't know the technical term), are painted. How did you paint them and/or how well are they holding up?

I too did mine, FYI you should rub it after sanding it with a degreaser or a goof off to get the armour all off. The paint doesn't like that. I murdered mine out all black. No grey at all. Every piece was done black or in Black Osrich skin.

when I did my dash trim, I used rubbing alcohol to get the grease and armour-all off and sprayed "adhesion promoter" before painting...it turned out great. The pillars are next in the Spring...
