I have a remote start with alarm in my manual tranny xb . I have seen a lot of talk about installing them in manuals on this forum.I have been installing remote starts for over 10 years. The units that are out there are now are a lot better than the older ones. The brand that I have is Ultra start model 4500m. In order for me to remote start.....

WHILE CAR IS RUNNING

1. set parking brake

2. put car in nutrual

3. step on foot brake twice (this turns on the remote start)

4. exit car and shut door (this shuts remote start off and locks doors)

If I go back into the car I MUST RE-DO STEPS 1-4

It seems to be a pain but its well worth it on those cold mornings .
I do recommend having a shop that has done them in the past.
DO NOT PUT AN AUTOMATIC REMOTE START IN A MANUAL TRANNY CAR
