Default pedals pedals pedals

http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...=yes&dept=2833

ive had these same pedals sitting around forever and i was thinking about throwing them in the xB. Does anyone know of any issues drilling the accelerator pedal since its plastic? just thought id check before i go gung-ho(remember that movie?) with the makita.

i did a search and didn't come up with much so forgive me if this is a re-question. But Eric said in one post that the obx pedals give you like 5hp so i firgue since these are drill-on's and itallion it'll be like 20hp![/url]

Default Pedal Installation

Drilling through the accelerator is actually quite easy, and it doesn't compromise the integrity of the pedal. I installed some Sparco pedals in my xB, and my main problem came when installing the brake pedal, when I realized the wood bit wouldn't go through steel........ Everything went fine when I put the right drill bit in and they now look great. I couldn't find a MOMO set that would fit my automatic or else I'd have gotten a set. They would have matched the e-brake handle I want to buy but can't figure out how to install.

Hope this helps,

Mike R.

they don't. we are making fun of the people who put useless mods on their cars and think it makes the car faster. just a joke. there is nothing wrong with putting dress up pedals on your car to customize it, though.

you know how your car only goes so fast till the gas pedal touches the floor? I cut the floor out from under my pedal, so my pedal goes down to the street. now my car hauls ___.

I don't care for those just because I think I have seen those in just about everyone's car that has come thorugh our shop. They are too common.

i hate how some aftermarket pedals use brackets to attach to the stock pedals. im considering the OBX ones because i hear they do not use brackets. is that right?

Randy can you market that mod into kit I would buy right now. Hey what about the big feet braking system ala fred flinstone. I heard if you like cut the floor and use you size 13 or 14 to stop the car it dramatically reduces 60 to 0 times. Bill

be careful as to what pedals u get!
i tried to put some project mu
pedals on(jdm ones) and it wouldn't fit right.
it would fit on, but like the rear part would hit the flooring so i could
never get the clutch all the way down, or the gas or the brake pedal.
i had to sell them on ebay later on.

justmake sure they fit ok.

exactly why i don't use the bracket type.
