Did anyone install this by themselves? I did a search but i couldnt find a write up on installing this unit. I just picked it up at bestbuy today for 1200. I want to try and install it myself but it would be nice to have a write up to follow thur on.

Thanks

Also do a search on the AVIC-N1 or AVIC-N2 - pretty much the same interconnects. You will also need a Toyota wire harness kit so you don't cut up your stock wires.

now enter an address while your driving and see if you can avoid driving off the road. You shouldn't disable the equipment for you could cause yourself and someone ellse a serious risk. And don't get caught cuz you'll pay big with the judge. The safety features are for a eason and I bet you voided your warranty too. Hope your radio doesn't break. I am not hating, mind you. I sell this stuff to pay my bills. But I don't like when people are worried about HAVING to watch the DVD while your driving. Just a warning.

That's fine but, The safeties are there fro a reason and we at work found out why. as well as the owner of the car. As he almost crashed himself. He doesn't use it anymore when he moving. Just be careful.

thats what its similar to... I got mine at bestbuy. They have them at struass, autozone, pepboy, tweeters, circuit city also. They range from 10-30bucks. Mine came with 2 harness, and they didnt have those rca plugs. Get the one for toyota and it will fit.

I also brought female and male connectors, couplers. That way you can put them on the harness and on your aftermarket headunit. That way there will be no cutting at all. Or you can use those quick splice ones and just snap it on the wires.

good find,.. Its hard finding that accessory link through the site?
Gonna be posting lots of questions unless I can get a car audio place that will install it for less than 100 dollars. I was told $250 today.............but $200 at another place but the guy said he wants to charge me $250 but since I was stern in my arguing..........

Get this?? He said he would install it for 58 dollars two weeks ago. BEFORE. I bout the item at its cost instead of the almost 600 dollar mark up he was going to sell it to me with!

That's F ed up! Keep this post going, I'll know if I'll have to install it my self in order to save the 250 dollars for three hours of work they say!?!!?!?!??!?!??!?!??

Yes, you can put a toggle switch under the dash or whatever you desire and it will disable the 3D GYRO that the D1 and N2 have built inside
