I have the parking brake sensor grounded, so my wife can watch movies on trips (not me, I'm driving!) , and it works, but only if I unground it and reground it after turning the car on. ie, turn on car, no dvd while moving, but unground then reground, it works. ?

Help!

 

its what you gotta do, i had a buddy with the same thing in an eclipse and he had it bypass to a switch to ground and he had to unground it and reground it. i believe its the only way

I have the exact dvd player in my xb and I have the switch located right under the steering wheel. That is the only way. When I turn the car on, all I have to do is flip the switch and Im good. Its the only way. If you need help on how to put the switch in, let me know.

 

That is pretty ___ if you ask me. But then again I am not too familiar with that particular unit. From what I hear the new Avic-N2 cannot be bypassed at all neither can the new clarion unit.

Thats exactly what I did. I got the Clarion DRX035-VD instead of the new one with the ipod controls. Just because I knew I was not going to be able to bypass the unit. Really sucks.
