Nice job for a DIY. I used to be a car audio installer and I have seen so many nightmare installs, it's unbelievable. You did a pretty good job overall. I'm a little concerned about the amps not being secured, but you have to live with that decision. My only other suggestions would be to spray paint the door speaker adapters with some black just to make sure you can't see them through the door grille. Either do the same to the tweeter brackets or you can glue some grille cloth to the underside of the factory dash grilles. Lastly, use some wire ties on the wiring under the seat and that should neaten that area up quite a bit.

We always recommended grounding the amps to the same spot to avoid ground loops and you could have used 8 awg wire for the grounds, but if everything is working good and no noise, then congrats.
I'm planning a similar system with everything under the seats, so it's good to see what can actually fit under there. Thanks

Thanks,

Well, the amps are not movable at all. The 4G is solid, holding the left side of the amp, and the RCA plugs hold the other side. Even if the car flips, there would be no way for the amps to come apart and come out from under the seat. The feet are firmly in the carpet but not poking through to the metal, so it does not slide or move. The airbag sensor bracket would keep it from rising upwards. You must remove the seat to move anything. There is more chance of the subwoofer coming out from under the passenger side than the amps being a moving target. The only drawback is not having a good easy access to turn pots. An angled phillips is required.

The grills in the door are sideways slotted, so unless you are eye level you could not see the wood color of the brackets if you could see it at all. The dash cover slots are slotted across, so you cannot see into them to see a bracket color unless you happen to be looking through the windshield from outside into the dash.

There is not really anything to tie wrap down. The 4 and 8G wires are not bendable and the speaker wires are pulled back into the carpet to length. I searched extensively for grounding options and on a majority of the elite car audio forums, all info said to ground the amps separately with the same gauge as the battery ground.

I did have to send my Nine4 amp back to eD due to what I resolved was a leaky capacitor, but they could not find anything wrong with it. I troubleshooted for days trying to resolve a faint staticky garble, that I think I pinpointed to the 4 channel amp. I removed and swapped everything I could with no positive results. Currently, the sub is unhooked and the comps are running off the Nine2 amp and it sounds crystal clear. eD is sending me a new Nine4 amp and hopefully the noise will be gone. If not, I will change to a single amp ground and then start swapping out wiring.

Well, they were all really nice pics, but it appears that either the external server is down, the account is dead, or the pics have been moved/removed.

This isn't the first, nor will it be the last for this to happen to.

I'm going to check with the Boss to see how he feels about hosting the pics at ScionLife. If he says yes, I'll try to get copies.

Yes, Kaeon is in charge of going through the tech articles and copying the images to the SL server. We do this for all tech articles to prevent broken images. If you can get a copy of the images then let me know, or Kaeon, and we will get them copied over.

As Admin Emeritus Tomas said in Post #28 (5 Posts Above yours)

"it appears that either the external server is down, the account is dead, or the pics have been moved/removed.

Unfortunate the OP Looney has not been on this Site for almost 8 years, so the pictures are gone.
