The adapter runs about $90 on ebay, maybe $100 or so elsewhere. It's a great unit.
If you have an aftermarket cd player it should have an auxilary or line-in rca jacks. I went to radio shack and bought a Moster cable for ipod to line-in. It was $20.
I can ride around a week and not have to charge it. If you want it to have power from car it will cost you more.

You could probably put that Alpine unit where everyone is putting their aux adapters.
Personally (you'll have to imagine, no digicam =C ) I've got the adapter run through into the center console. Then I've got the Griffin airclick plugged into the top and a simple power adapter into the bottom. I have the remote positioned on the e-brake so it's almost completely hidden.
