i used a cold soldering iron and its a freakin a blast to use ans easy too i improved my soldering skills from 25% to around 90%!!!

20 bucks for a cold soldering iron its my new best friend haha

i do a crummy job with the old soldering irons a poor job at that!!!

camera black out had to use the batteries in the cold soldering iron haha

5k ohm potentiometer / rheostat / dimmer switch

all together now all purdy like
wires from the top - goes to power, side - to potentiometer, bottom - output...

i mutalated a gardner bender gsw-45 switch to fit my potentiometer

installed the wiring today, it was slightly a p.i.t.a. to do

i installed my adjustable voltage power supply (dimmer control) box behind (in front of whatever its closest to the firewall) its right next to the airbag sensor assembly

i used my test led to test it out (its from one of those one led bulb flash lights)

don't mind the blue color thats coming from the leds either from the cup holders or the eazy bake oven

Umm...not sure if you know this or not, but if you run the power to the center console, you can use the same dimmer that is used for the dash lights.
