Default Power Distribution

I was wondering if people have used some sort of power distribution block for powering high gauge wire. After doing a search here and looking on car audio sites I have seen info on distribution blocks for amps and the like (8 and 4 gauge), but nothing for hooking up 18 and 22 gauge applications. Do they even make this type of thing for car A/V? I know that you could probably get something from Radio Shack that splits the power up, but I was hoping there was something that I could run from the battery (like 8 gauge) and then easily run a bunch of 18 and 22 gauge from there. At the very least something that could be fused so that if I am drawing lots of juice from one splice I don't blow anything. Thanks.
