Default Problem with OEM iPod HU

So recently (past few days)
The iPod playback cuts out. It's generally within 15 seconds of it playing. The screen on the HU is still displaying the track title, but that's it.

The iPod screen is showing the menu as if it's not hooked up to the HU.

Any thoughts? Would this be a warranty issue?

i think the easiest thing to do is to reset your ipod. i think that will clear up the problem. lock and unlock the ipod rapidly for about 5 seconds. then hold the menu & center button at te same time until it shuts off. if the apple appears on the screen let it reboot. that's happened to me a few times when i still had my stock radio w/ ipod adapter. didn't have that happen since i switched head units and ipod adapter.

I've done that several times.
