I was installing sound deadenerin my 2006 xb, and I found a second plug tied up in the drivers door, behind the panel, its a big plug looks like it could plug into the switch modules for the door and windows, I'll try and get a pic when I open the door back up, anyone know what this plug is all about?

 

I think it might be for the fold away mirrors that the bB came with. Otherwise not sure.

 

I was curious about this as well. It is as big as the driver's door switch harness.

Any ideas?

 

could just be a splice pack for the grounds or something, there are a few others that look like this else where in the car

its a large plug, 2 inches by 3/4 thick, with around 2 dozen wires in it, with a cap on one end

ok, but why is there a splice pack, what would they splice into?

 

nothing, its usually a slice of common wires like grounds, they all come together and then use1 wire for the ground instead of having a large amount of grounds attached all over, ill see if i can find a pic of one or pop my door off to take a look

 

yea, this looks like if I popped that cover off the end (looks like its there to keep crud out of the plug) it would plug into the switches

lol ok, I have to drive it during the week and its been raining all week don't wanna pull it off in the rain, I'll get wet and so will the panel/wiring
