Does anyone here have a picture of the back where all the connections are for an 2004 alpine head unit, preferably 9831? I just want to see what the back looks like, because im getting one for christmas and I want to see prior.

correct. let me know if your radio reception is any good, because I can't get a very good signal with mine, however I think the wire may be rubbing the chassis brace underneath the dash. (I have the 9831 by the way)

Go to Circuit City and get their conenctors. Wiring harness for the Scion and wiring harness for the Alpine. Then you just plufg and play, no messing around with wires.

if you look at the ebay pics...
you saw the two black wires (ant, and changer)
there you also see red and white rca connections
just below them is where the plug (harness) from the alpine unit plugs into...it will have wires for power, ground, power ant., left front speaker positive, left front speaker negative.........

now go to circuit city or another stereo shop and get a toyota plug. it will plug into the factory harness (so you don't have to cut it) it will also have power, ground, power ant, left........

they are color coded (red, black, blue w/stripe, white, white w/stripe.....)
just connect them together, color to color (solder, twist+tape, crimp, butt-connector...)

my head unit actually came today, so I got to see it in person, but I cant use it till christmas lol.... My mom let me browse the manual and I saw that there is a ground that comes off the head unit and needs to hook up to an already existing bolt or something.. Where is one located behind the head unit area I could use when im able to install..

You use the ground on the wiring harness.
