Default Question on Alpine flip up screen wiring.

I just picked up an Alpine flip up screen for my dash. It comes with some sort of wire I gotta hook up to my parking lights and one for my e-brake.

They guy I bought it from told me how he just ran one wire to the parking light fuse, than put the wire for the e-brake on a switch. But it's not that simple. If you want to use it while moving you have to turn on your headlights, turn on you car, then flip the switch, than turn you lights off or something.

Is the an easier way where I can just bypass the whole thing so it works whenever?

Thank you in advance for your time.

the parking lights i don't know about...there is a wire that you gotta hook to your brake lights(used in conjunction with a back up camera) as far as the e brake most people just ground 'em or wire-switch-ground so you can turn it on and off. i have a pioneer deck and i installed some kind of relay you can purchase at a local stereo shop and hooked that to the e brake lead

Take a look at my post second from the bottom, if you may... I used to have the Alpine CVA-1003 and the method worked fine and there's no need to connect the e-brake or parking light wires.

Thanks for the link. I was kinda hoping there was a way to wire it so it just works. I don't like having to switch it on and off, but if I gotta I will I guess.
