I installed a PIE TOY03-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter (RCA red/white right/left Stereo Input to stock Radio CD Changer Port) in my xB. Check out this link:

This one will give you 2 RCA jacks. This is the one I have. I bought it at Curcit City for $50. Works great. Simple plug and play. Later! :D

At circuit city I bought a device like those but it actually charged the ipod and let's you control it with the stock radio..but on every other toyota car u can see the track listing, search for songs, but on the Scion models u can only control track skip...worked well enough but i returned it.. made by axcess you might have to go into the roadshop to see it as it was in a glass case in my store...
a connector came with my new HU, if u're into sound quality, you'll probably upgrade the HU anyway and get that capability or at least a addtional RCA connectors to do so.
otherwise ^^^what they said.
never thought to try to control tracks via the HU, duh! wonder if mine does that, will have to try.

If you're running minidiscs or someother mp3 player, PIE TOY03-AUX works like a charm
