Default Question on Factory Stereo Reguarding MP3 CDs

So I just burned an MP3 CD for my xB and I can't really figure how to get it to play on random. It has like 53 folders with about 2 or 3 tracks in each folder. I don't have the manual to the car because it didn't come with it, so I can't look it up.

Well first lets hook you up with the manual, you can download it from here -> http://www.scion.com/#referenceGuides

Make sure you download the appropriate manual for your stereo (I.E. iPod ver, standard ver, 6-disc ver.) I see your riding in an 05 xB so I'm guessing you have the 05 stereo, if this is the case then just press "preset 1" while listening to an MP3 disc to activate random mode. Also, if you read the manual towards the end it will tell you how to change the welcome screen.(Doesn't make your stereo sound better but it will look cool)

Thanks for the download, I do press the random button but since all the songs on the disc are in different 'folders' (I didn't create these, WMP must have put them in folders by artist during the burn process...) When I hit random, it only randoms in that current folder, i.e., between 1 or 2 songs, not the whole disc.

EDIT: I just looked at the manual and I just have to hold the Random button in until it beeps. THanks for the link!

Glad you got it to work, I never use random mode myself so I didn't know about that. Also I forgot to mention one more thing. Our scion stereos come with different car equalizer modes, the default setting is tC but everyone agrees that its the worst sounding setting. So if you haven't already done so, you might want to change it to xB or xA. Here is a guide on how to do that (its super easy and will greatly improve your sound quality)

Should also be on page 25 of the manual.
