Default question: installing factory bazooka in an RS3

Does anyone know if the factory bazooka tube will plug and play into the Alpine HU that comes in the RS3? I have the harness but don't know if it works with the upgraded Alpine. I just wanted to check before I wasted my time ripping everything apart this weekend!

Sorry for the dumb question. I know nothing about this stuff. I searched for awhile but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the help! :D

It should just plug right in to the car harness and then the HU to the pigtail on the sub harness.

I installed munes to the oem radio. Its fairly easy to do, just remove the center dash insert by the ac controls. Then at the rear of the radio is 3 connectors and I believe the middle one is the one you unplug and plug the bazooka cable into, then plug the radio connector into that and route it through the glove box area.

I put my bazooka behind the drivers seat and grounded it with one of the bolts on the parking brake handle mounting bolts.

thanks everyone. I was just worried that there would be different connectors in the back of the alpine.

Thanks! this helped a lot. we were expecting to see an open plug somewhere on the back of the radio but all 6 were being used. so we just looked for the one like the wiring harness and it worked perfect.

sounds OK I guess. I don't know anything about subs so my review would be pointless. at least it's in finally!

Its about time,Just remember that the Bub is driven off of the front speakers so if you want more bass fade to front.

Enjoy

It took me a week to get mines adjusted right. I have the cannon set to max, the bass on the radio set to 2 and most of the balance to the rear. I have the asl set high so 40 mph is the point where the bass kicks up and down the most. For the most part you do not hear it except on rap music and some metal. I like the extra umph it gives to the music, just wished it was smaller. Then again with my seat all the way back its not likely a passenger could sit behind me anyways, so that is where I have it positioned.
