Default radio antenna on the xB

the tC and xA have external antennas... but I still haven't figured out where the stock xB am/fm antenna is. Anyone know offhand? so I don't have to take apart everything just to find out?

That's just mean Pimpe!

The antenna is built in the two rear side panes of glass. The wires you may have thought were part of the defroster are actually the antenna.

Has anyone had problems when they tint OVER the antenna?
i was thinking of tinting the rear windows darker, but wondered if that would create reception problems.

dont really care about reception (have sirius) but just in case i dont pay the bill one month.

with a built in antenna amplifier I don't think you'll loose that much reception but why not prepay for a yr with sirius so you get a month free...I think its a better way to go IMO.

Werd! I never even listen to the radio in my xB. I don't even have it hooked up.

if you use any window film that has metalic in it the only reception that will be affected is the AM reception!
Good Luck

the tinting firm where I had my vehicle tinted is a FORMULA ONE Tint Film dealer, and they used their 'Pinnacle' model film, which is a ceramic-based (not a metallic film based tint).

This is their top of the line model...i used 35% all around, with a 20% on the windshield top side.

hmm i've been getting a lot of static lately from stations which are normally really strong. Anyone know what the deal with that might be? I'm pretty sure its not the speakers, since the same distortion isn't apparent when I play off cds.
