Anyone here on the boards ever thought or have interest in a REAL carbon fiber steering wheel? I am talking about the steering wheels like that found in luxury vehicles but with carbon fiber inserts? From what I am told, something like this could or is considered a "one off" type application.

Actual wheel has yet to be made... I am seriously thinking about having it done, but it will run some $$$. I had a Mustang GT wheel done in silver carbon fiber and it was awesome!

NOTE: The wheel is not completely covered in carbon just top and bottom and the rest in leather.

What do you think people are willing to pay for something custom like this?

 

I saw a wheel like that done up at Hot August Nights. With as much money as he had in that car, I'd guess it's very pricey. It looked very nice though.
