Default Rear view mirror screen/rearview camera

I've seen special monitors for this reason, anyone one have a picture of one installed? Anyone going this route for a rearview camera screen?

dig around - a few people have done this and posted pics. i have seen variations of installs such as the following:

- stand alone camera + "screen" solely for the backup camera
- a backup camera installed and being outputted to an in-dash 7" screen, like the pioneer dvd/radio/screen unit
- having a usb camera conected to a carputer, outputted to a 7" touch screen

out of the 3 above, i plan on doing the last one since i already have a laptop that i plan to install in my box. It seems simple as hell - just gotta setup 1 button on my tablet that'll launch the usb camera software and that's it. single button operation.

i've seen other people hook up their units to immediately turn on while they throw their car in reverse... this is cool - actually too cool for me so i'm not going that route =P

it'll make parallel parking easy... plus cutting people off!

im just kidding about that 1!

Here is a couple of pics of my setup. The monitor comes on automatically when the car is shifted into reverse. It can also be turned on by pushing a button.

^^ very neat, that's the route I'd like to go. How difficult/expensive? I really don't have much mechanical knowledge :\
