hey guys... is there any way to have the car honk when you lock it from your key????

i know its stupid, but i just like to hear make to make sure the car locked as im walking away....

 

i believe that the honk only comes cuz of an alarm system? cant say for sure but from the scions ive seen, the ones with the factory alarm has a honk and the ones w/o dont

 

If you get the scion security I believe you would have it? correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Yeah, i think the honk comes with the Scion Security only. Up until a few weeks ago, I used to be just bone stock, and then I got the Viper 791 VX alarm system installed, and it's awesome ! Does the honk, lights, etc.. so it should be the alarm system that does the honk.

 

Scion Security does NOT honk. Nor can you make it honk by any changes. It cannot and will not. You get a flash of the lights. That's you signal that it's locked.

does anyone know about the doors locking automatically??? i honestly think this might be the fist can with pw locks that dont lock automatically once you start driving.... does anyone know if you can make the car do this???

 

Waste a second of your precious life and hit the "lock" button.

 

you can achive both of your requests with an aftermarket alarm.

Have an 06 xA with Scion Security. My car doesn't honk, but makes a VERY audible beeping sound when I lock it. Also, it locks the doors when I turn the key in the ignition to acc(I think... It's the second to last position, while starting the car). Provided the door isn't open.

 

^ thats what id like on our tC. imma see if i can devise a piezo chirp for the tC security box.. shouldnt be too hard.. ill update later when i try

 

The xA beeps when it locks, the xB does not. All three Scions have totally different alarm systems, believe it or not! One would THINK they would be the same, but they are not.

 

I do not have an alarm or remote lock but my car sometimres "beeps" when I hit the lock button on my door...?What is this all about?
