Default removing front speakers.

I was wondering how do you remove the riviets from the speakers. I'm having problems removing them.

I was looking at the Scosche speaker adapter will they fit for the front. It says for the rear but looks like it could also fit the front.

eh just get a drill bit that about the size of the middle of the rivit, slightly bigger, and drill into it, eventually it will catch and break the rivit and just allow you to push the back half though.

nope they are different.
I have made a ton of them for customers cars out of 3/4" mdf. I still have the pattern if you need a set made.

1. Remove (1) screw from the door opening handle.
2. Remove (1) screw from the door pocket on the
armrest.
3. Remove (1) plastic screw clip from the portion of
the door panel closest to the inside of the vehicle.
4. Using a panel removal tool remove the window
switch housing starting at the top portion.
Disconnect and remove.
5. Using a panel removal tool pop off the bottom
portion of the door panel lift the top ledge off the
door and remove.
6. using a power drill and a drill bit drill out the
rivets securing the speaker housing to the door.
*NOTE* Once the rivets are drilled out they will not
longer be useable. If you are going to reinstall the
factory speaker alternate mounting will be needed.

1. Remove the rear floor, storage baskets and spare
tire parts.
2. Remove (2) plastic clips from the rear gate floor
panel. Pull upwards on the floor panel to remove.
3. Using a #8 hex key remove (2) hex bolts from the
upper portion of the rear side panel.
4. Remove the lower portion of the seat *NOTE* Be
sure to remove the hook clip from the back of the
lower seat portion.before trying to remove.
5. Using a 15mm socket remove the lower seatbelt
bolt.
6. Using a 12mm socket remove (2) bolts from the
lower bracket on the back of the backrest. Remove
the backrest.
7. Using a 15mm socket remove the seat bracket
from the side panel.
8. Using a panel removal tool pop out the rear side
panel.
9. Using a 10mm socket unbolt the speaker
housing. Disconnect and remove.
Radio removal
Front speaker
Rear speaker
1. Pull off a/c ***** using Philips screwdriver .
Extract (2) screws from a/c controls.
2. Using panel removal tool, pop out lower
portion of dash bezel then hinge outward to
release.
3. Extract (4) philips head screws from radio,
then disconnect and remove.
TWEETER REMOVAL
1. Using a panel removal tool gently pry out the
grille on the top of the dash.
2. Using a screwdriver or 8mm socket remove
(2) screws securing the speaker. Disconnect
and remove.

right now I'm working on trying to get a 450/4. my brother has on just sitting in the living room, I begged him to sell it. If he wont sell it and its just sitting there I think I'm going to borrow it for a while.

If randy can't help you I sell them also, mine are also made from 3\4 mdf and precut for 6.5s

jus drill the rivits take the speaker / bafflle out and cut the old speaker out and instert new one and insert into door and attach useing self tapping screws

^^ its actually easy i did it in like 1/2 an hour... its alot ezer than makeing ur own out of mdf

I use this bit when removing rivets. works great, and takes seconds.
