Default Replacement radios for 2006 Scion's

For all of you who have 2006 xA's and xB's...whose basic Scion radio's tune themselves up .2 mHz on the dial, the issue has been resolved by Pioneer. We will all be getting replacement radios. This news is straight from my Scion Dealership, and I thought you all should know.

ok... then I'm not crazy! that happened to me the other day. Just that one time, but it was strange. I know I didn't hit the channel/scan button.

Any idea on a recall number.... announcement?

It's not just the xA and xB. It's been happening to my tC as well. So I guess it's a TSB almost sorta kinda maybe? More of a Pioneer, I guess. hehe

Maybe I'll put off installing my aftermarket HU just so I can get the new one. =P

they don't let you keep the old one... do they? That'd be nice!

I wonder if they are going to "fix" the text scroll as well?

Please tell me,

What dealership is that?

What is the name of the person at your dealership that is aware of the new radios?

thx,
Brian

Get ready for a surplus of factory HU f/s MOST of the time manufactuers don't want defective parts back in a situation like this unless the defect can cause harm to the user. In a case like this where it seems not every unit is defective, Pioneer most likely won't want them back. I'm not saying your dealer won't want it back though...
