i'm doing it on my boxes. Won't do anything to change your sound as far as I know. There isn't a reason why it would.

It is however more durable. Won't peel off like carpet, don't have to vacuum it, and it won't get scratched like paint.

I've seen many cars who have had their complete trunks rhino-lined for dampening and it actually worked out rather well......

It will be done because
A. no one i know has it and would be different
B. Sound deadening
C. No vacuuming
D. No peeling or fading carpet.
E. Easy to touch up(If ever any)
F. Won't slide around in car at all.

Mainly the fact that no one around my area has is or has heard of doing it.

The shop down the street from me sells boxes like this. They said it makes the boxes last longer since moisture will not mess up the wodd the box is made out of. They said it also provides a stonger box.

yeah... i did the bottom and back of mine in it... just to seal the wood pretty much...

oh and i also did the rear floor of my car in it.... works better than any peel and stick sound deadening out there

I did mine a while back. I did it mainly because I am not a fan of the carpeted look. It came out looking rather nice.
