Default RS3 Headrest monitor volume question

Hi guys. I looked around in the search but cant find an answer.

Can you listen to the moniters on the headphones without having any sound coming out the car speakers?

I know about DUAL mode. It worked as far as having my Ipod music coming from the front and the dvd sound coming from the rear.

But I thought that if I lowered rear volume to nothing I could still hear the headphones. But no sound came out until I raised the volume on the headunit.

If there is a thread explaining this let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you can... I believe just turn down the volume on your headunit, because the headphones have their own Volume control.... Try that...

I figured it out. On dual mode the rear volume has to be set to at least "1". The only way I have figured to listen to my Ipod on the front speakers while having the headphones play DVD sound.

Sorry if I sound like a nOOb

I hate dual. There should be a setting to play movies and have no sound in the rear at all, just headphone volume.

RaginCajun: With DUAL "on", and the volume at 1, you wont be able to hear anything from the rear speakers.

But your right. It would be easier just to have a "headphone" mode.
