How do you remove these things from the headrest??? I know its proabably a simple "Just pull them out" but i dont wanna go down there an d pull and yank and find out thats not the way to do it... SO im just asking you guys....
The rca jacks are on the back of your stereo, for your aux input or you can buy the mini jack for the front of the screens. I just had a game station installed on my box, that relocates the rca's and has an outlet for the xbox. Also, you need an inverter for the power and the xbox requires more power than other game consols. Good luck, hope this helps.

Ummm, kinda... So i can hook my Xbox A/V cables to the stereo? Also, what game station are you talking about?? I already got the inverter covered, Im just confused about where the A/V cables go for the Xbox....
Yes, there is an empty a/v set in the back for the AUX input. Works great. I relocated those jacks so that you can hook up what ever to them easily, instead of going thru the dash. My camera is broken right now, I'll see if I can get someone to take a picture of it this weekend and post it here.

Ah ok, gotcha.... thanks man... Pics would be great... Just let me know... I havent had time to go out there myself and look at it... Got an Anime con this weekend...
Don't pull the monitors out, and don't pull the audio headunit out. You have two auxiliary input jacks staring at you on the face of each monitor. Use them.
Auxiliary input connection is covered in the audio system owner's manual that came with the system. It's coveredon Page 65,;number 2; AV2. It's pictured on page 66, and described fully on page 67. You need a simple adapter to go from the RCA jacks on your Xbox to the 3.5mm mini-jack on the face of the monitor. A drawing of the adapter cable is shown on page 67 of the owner's manual.
No disassembly or rewiring is required.
Buy the adapter at your Scion dealer (part number PTS34 52060JA).
Its amazing what you can learn when you take the time to review the owner's manual.
The monitors also permit connection of yout iPod.

The intention was that game units would be used in the car on an occassional basis such as on long trips where the dangling wire is not an issue, therefore hook-up convenience was the most important consideration.
The only reason that you'd want to hard-wire an xBox into the car would be to have it permanently installed where you'd need to make provision for an inverter and hiding all of that hardware (trunk?). An issue here is that an x-Box is not built to be robust enough to be used long-term in an automotive environment and you'd likely suffer infant mortality with temperature cycling and shock and vibration conditions in a permanent install.
If you still want to do this, the Audio/Video control box in the xB actually switches a third input. A/V 1 is the DVD player, A/V 2 is the local jack on the face of each monitor (can be displayed only on the monitor that the aux jack is being used), and A/V 3 which can be displayed on either or both monitors simultaneously. A/V 3 is not wired out of the A/V box because Scion did not use it for this installation, but the capability is in the A/V control box if you pin it out with wires. The last thing you would need to do is to activate A/V 3 on the monitor software via the monitor's hidden menu, so that the Source button on the face of the monitor would cycle through all three inputs (A/V 1, A/V 2, AND A/V 3). In this fashion you could wire to A/V 3 behind the dash and have hidden wires if you wished.

mad-sciontist,
ok, this thread got a little wacky....
As previously stated, there is a left right audio and a video INPUT on the back of the head unit. There are pics of the back of the rs 3 head unit somewhere in one of these threads. You can easily access the back of the head unit and plug a rca composite cable and run it to wherever you like (ex. underseat) so you can access it easily in the future.

Here is a link to the back of the RS3 head unit. It is a large pic so I just put the link.
You can see the RCA inputs not in use ... yellow for video, red/white for audio.
