Rubber weather stripping for '06 xB Scion doors
I've decided to keep my 'xB (with only 70K miles) for a few more years—bought it new in '06.
Anyone have a source for "live" rubber weather stripping for my '06 xB Scion's 4 doors and rear hatch door?
I'm concerned about ordering old dying/dead rubber stock (sometimes shipped to Hawaii) and of creases and bends due to poor packaging/shipping. If weather stripping (similar in structure to a diving wet suit—smooth skin on the inside and outside surface and foam-like air holes inside) is stored with a bend the cells deflate and can't regain the original contours of the rubber—ergo wind whistling noise. I like my ears to pop when I close the door.
I watch a lot of car restoration videos such as West Coast Customs; most do truly excellent work, however, often when they "reveal" the beautifully finished car they slam the doors and one hears the clunk sound of dead rubber weather stripping.

Yes, you're right 62Fender—my '06 xB is 1st Gen.
I was hoping someone might know if Toyota Hawaii ordered a set if the rubber would be 14-years old with unrestorable folds/wrinkles.
