Default Sat Radio / XM

I want to get a Sat radio setup for my GF's xA, but I'm completely lost as to what to get. I know her 07' xA has a SAT button on the H/U.

What do I need to buy to get Sat radio to work through the H/U and steering wheel?

Thanks in advance for all your guys' help.

If the unit is truly sat radio ready then you will need "satellite radio tuner" they are differnet for every brand of radio so if its pioneer just search "pioneer satellite radio tuner" that should get you started in the right direction

The unit says Sat on the headunit, but I have no idea if it is REALLY ready (as in has the adapter hooked up to the HU and the tuner under the passenger seat). I'm assuming that it DOESN'T have those, as I've never seen the tuner.

Any ideas? I ran across a Terk setup that has been discontinued and nobody has it in stock.

talk to a dealership. thats what i was told to do on my 1st gen xb, just dont let them do it because as we all know they will charge you up the tail pipe to do it.

Most dealerships sell the tuner and antenna for "Sat Ready" head units separately. You need to buy the tuner, antenna and have both installed if you're not doing this yourself. You will then need to sign-up/pay for sat service. Check to see if it's also HD radio ready. You have to purchase the same for this too (tuner, antenna) but no charge to listen to HD stations.
