Im looking for some bass to enhance the overall experience of listening to music, not blast rap or anything so everyone around can hear. Im also looking for a decent price, and dont want to take up a lot of room in my trunk. Would the factory bazooka tube or another tube be any good? Anyone know of any other brands that sell quality tubes? What all will i need to install it?
anyone know where i can get one for cheap?
ok, i know its a lot of questions, so thanks in advance.
edit: now looking at the scosche sub box. Any reviews or amp suggestions?

the only other thing im going to need is an amp, correct? If so, what kind of amp should i get? Any cheap cost effective ones?
I have the scosche with a 500w rockford fosgate punch amp with the "punch controller" remote EQ... the parametric EQ **** really helps get the most out of the 10" sub. I have the amp under the passenger seat and the controller in the dash. I really like the setup, good clean bass with mininmum weight and intrusion.

might i suggest the box tha tmounts the sub in the spare tire? you can them mount your amp in the rear storage area, or under a seat and keep the rear storage for use. just search the forum and you can kind pics of the box in question
I put in the Scosche Box in my XB. However, I elected to swap out the speaker for an Infinity 1050W. (Can buy both for $160 with shipping). Never actually listened to the EFX speaker, so I can't really compare them.
I used a Rockford Fosgate P250.2 2 channel amp to get a nominal 250 W bridged power. (Both EFX and the Infinity sub are rated at 250W nominal).
I also didn't want to cut a hole in my storage lid, so I have it installed completely stealth. (Tip: Leave an air gap at the back of the storage lid, with a stick or something, and the bass won't rattle the lid).
I pulled my spare tire out, and put the amp in there. For peace of mind, I keep a can of run flat and a battery powered air pump in the car.
Very happy with the setup. Not crazy bass, but respectible.

is it better to get a mono amp or bridge a 2 channel? That Rockford Fosgate P250.2 is a bit too expensive for my tastes, but i have found some mono amps for a good price.
I have the Scosche box with an Alpine MRP-M450 amp. It puts out 220 watts to the EFX sub, but when I switch to the Kicker CVT10, it's going to get 400watts from the Alpine. The EFX sub is so-so, it's only like a $30 sub, so you can't expect too much.
The box is bullet proof, though. Fill it with poly-fill, and it makes the sound much better.
