Default AT shifter mod

Seen this done before, and have been wanting to do this for a long time, finally got around to it. (I know, it needs a vacuuming!)

got the **** off Ebay. It was for a Mitsubishi, couldn't find one i liked for a toyota/scion. I had to drill it out to fit the post, and i cut a couple inches off the lockout shaft so it'd sit lower. Got the boot off ebay too, it's a cheapo, think i'm gonna change it later.

Thanks. I changed it though, i put the boot over the silver bezel, instead of tucked in. and i think i'm going to go to a all black boot, not feeling the red stitching.

I'm wiring an OD switch on the side of the console, even though i've never switched it off in the two years i've had it.

Yea, I keep saying that the OD switch is what's keeping me from doing this, but I never actually use the OD switch.

Yeah, I was a little reluctant to snip the wires, but it's the only way to get the **** off. I didn't care for the factory OD switch on the **** anyway, my knee had a tendancy to hit it and switch it off.

yeah I always had that prob as well, I hated it.

I just relocated a button down in the corner of the center console at the base of the shifter base for the OD when I did my shifter.

It looks good by the way.
