Default Silverstars, Xtreme White, Luminics

Hey, just wondering what's your guys' pick on the low beam headlights. I currently have Sylvania Silverstars right now, I tried PIAA Xtreme White, but they look the same, but cost 1000x more than the Silverstars do (both rated at 4000K). I have never tried the Luminics White before (does anyone know what those are rated at K), so I wouldn't know. My Silverstars lighted up white/blue tint when I beamed the headlights across my garage door, but now, it's a white/yellow color. I bought another brand new pair and the same thing happen too. What do you think is the best headlight out there that's pure white and legal? Thanks!

P.S. I really want the HIDs on the Acura TL or the Audis. From far away, they look blue, but once the car approaches you, it's pure white. Does anyone know any bulbs that will do that, that's also legal? Thanks again!

Edit: Also what's a good mixture for the parking lights also?

I went with luminics ultra whites highs and lows and so far they have kept the blue tinge in color. I believe they are rated at 8000K.

there are bulbs that will do such as ones by PIAA which are rated at 7000K which is a little too high in the blue color and not street legal. i'm just rolling around silverstars and piaa xtreme white parking lights. but i also want the hint of blue in there too.

and i'm planning to switch my front turn signals to white, even though it's illegal, but i've seen it done before and people get away with that. i want my car to have the blue effect in the headlights when it is off.

Yeah, Silverstars still. They have parking lights, not sure on sizes though. I have a set in my trucks clear markers, and they're blue/purple off and lit up they are solid amber.

I have Luminics Hyper White bulbs which have a color temp of 5150K. They look white from straight on but bluish from the side/angle. Any bulb putting out light around 4000K is going to turn yellow after it has warmed up.

your off a little

There is NO BULB that will look purple from a Distance and be white up close...

what does that?

Projectors Do that, NOT BULBS.

sure u can spend 100 bucks on some tinted Bulbs, But u loose light output....

As i said, Stay with your silver star's...and save money for a Full Retro

mine cost me 625$ for parts and prob anywhere from 300-600 for them to be installed..

Go to that website and click on the Hyper whites, take a look at the picture, you'll see 5150K in red text on the label.

Unless my eyes deceived me, when I looked at the box before installing my bulbs, it was marked 5150K.

As far as I know, changing the light bulb to a non-stock headlight is illegal but I seriously doubt cops will pull you over for it, unless you install HID bulbs and are flaring the hell out of opposing traffic. The luminics are rated at 55 watts and the Silverstars are rated at 50 or 55 watts (don't quote me on this) so the brightness is about the same, although tinted (luminics) bulbs will have a small amount of brightness held back due to the film/dye that's on the bulb.

I've had mine installed for about 2 months and no problems yet.

so, you said that the Silverstars show a yellow/white light after a while... what about the Hyper white?

is there a problem with the watts?

Silverstars - 51watts
Hyper white - 55watts

NOTE: the stock ones are 51watts.
