my sis just got me that car kit thing where u suction cup it to ur winshield...i got it right under my rear view mirror...it doesnt block any views plus its right there so u can use the controller to play with it...only when im not driving....oh yeah i chose sirius for many reasons 1.stern 2.shade 45 3.nfl and the last reason is because i want to be able to listen to sum rap then sum 80's then sum metal and then sum sports talk and i can do it on this one...plus i heard that xm is losing money and they r going to go belly up soon :D

I think that last peice of info is simply hearsay. XM has roughly 1-2 million more subscribers and runs basicly the same service as sirius. Common senses stay that sirius is the one losing money.

That being said i have an xm subscription right now and i will be going over to sirius toward the end of the year stickly for Stern. I'm waiting to see what the new generation of sirius recievers has to offer. I love my XM roady2 and am looking for something with similar features and about the samesize. I haven't seen anything sirius that i like. so far...

Johnny's right.. XM (even after Clear Channel reduced its equity in it ) will still be around. That's alright.. just to prove that Sirius is the better of the two anyway! =)
And thursday.. congrats.. tell me which kit you got? Been looking @ Crutchfield for some nice kits to drill into my xB's dash for plug and play.. but if the antenna can go on the windshield, then I'll get that instead.

xm will still be around, but with sirius taking the leap they did they are sure to be on top soon. they have already gained 1.2 million new subscribers since the announcement and they just wanted 1 million

they paid stern more then what a yearly subscribers paid sirius... but it worked out great for them! i think he comes out in 06...

xm is definetly feeling the heat though... the shop has been selling sirius units 2 to 1 now... as oppossed to 9 to 1 xm!

yeah i think since they announced the stern deal, sirius stock has risen 257%....some ridiculous number like that...i figure with stern and eminem's station getting people to sirius....xm really cant compete with that...there is nothing better than listening to sum hip-hop uncut, then go straight to the 80's rock! :D

Where are you guys mounting the antenna? I have Sirius on my Dish Network at home and I wouldn't mind getting a kit for my car. What was the rumor about a stock unit that works with the stock headunit? Is that going to happen?

Been looking at the ultra-thin Sanyo (I think).. comes with the car and home kits included in the purchase.

Sirius is now at just over 1 million subscribers up from around 300-500 thousand. XM has 3.2 million subscribers. After being XMs b**ch since the start Sirius is making a serious play for the market and it's going to make or break them. NFL, Stern, Eminem. They are going for broke and it very well could pay off for them. I give it 2.5 years and it will either be THE new radio or it will be gone. My money is on it taking over, but time will tell and there are alot of XM kits out there

Well said thurs.. Opie and Anthony for 2 bux extra per month? Hell no. And what's with the whole Playboy radio for another fee?

All I know is Sirius and Microsoft just signed a deal to do sat TV in yer car. Mostly children's entertainment (for the minivans, of course) but with that type of potential for profits.. XM will suck even more!

(ok.. so i'm a lil bias.. a little..)
