Default So who's got a sub?

Not the stock one, but an aftermarket box, sub and amp. How did you mount it? I'm thinking of putting the amp under the carpet in the right rear corner. Might heat up there tho. As for the enclosures, any recommendations for a 10? I've been looking around on ebay and there are some boxes that look like they will work quite nicely...

amp under the carpet would cause it to over heat and catch fire. Amps need breating air. As for what type box well your making a fatal mistake if your just looking for any ol box. What type subwoofer or woofers do you have? How many cubic feet does it require? If you put a sub in the wrong type box it will sound horriable. I am having a custom 3 cubic ft box made for my tC. Just make sure you face the subs towards the rear of the car you'll get better sound that way.

there are alot of people who have successfully mounted amps under the false floor inside the foam....alot of them just have it sitting there...but I would reccommend putting some type of exhaust fan to move some air around....if you did this, you wouldn't have a problem with overheating......

as lavaism said, make sure the box you're looking at will match in the specification range of the subwoofer you're getting.....wether you want sealed or ported will also affect the sound too....some people like the sound of a sealed box better than a ported....it's all about personal preference.....

I have a Kicker L7 and a jbl BPX500.1 setup in mine but prolly gonna sell soon and just do a 10" to get more room cause the darn kicker tuned box takes up whole trunk space in my Tc, heh. Ported boxs are teh way to go in hatchback and depends if you want a high end or basic sub, but ANYTHING is better than those horrid bazooka subs.

A good 10" I like the Kapp Perfect 10" and the Mtx 8500 series, depending money and amp size you want

But if you know anyone who wants a step down from kicker's best 12", let me know ^_~

i went the whole two 10"s in a sealed encloser (smaller than ported)and mounted the amp under the passenger seat, thinking of moving the amp to trunk cubby and adding a clear cover and a cpu fan for cooling. but it works for me if ineed the space to haul stuff i just fold the seats down, besides love drive my car not live in it

Im having my 5 channel JL mounted under that carpet space in the trunk. Its not going to get to hot because of the intercooling system in it.

i got my sub amp under the passenger seat. You can fit a huge amp under there. Oh and i also have a single 12" sub pefect mix. I Used to have 2-12" but theres not much room in that little hatch so i had to get a diffenent box. Gotta be able to haul my car wash bucket around at least lol
