i took my to the dealer least week with the entire print-out of this thread. my buddy(a fellow scion owner) works there. they read the thread and called visualogic. visualogic said to send they the av power control module and they'll fix it. i got it re-installed yesterday and they are working great. had them running for 2hrs and they didn't turn off.

After a year with an aftermarket headunit installed by Sony professionals my tv's are flashing on and off. Damn cheap ___ Toyota/Scion. I'm taking mine to the dealership on Friday to get it fixed. I think we should start some kind of petition to get a recall on the faulty items.

Make sure you put your stock H/U (Alpine) I have heard alot of stories of Scion not covering it under warranty if its not the stock alpine HU

well this sux i recently bought a rs3 don't have the factory radio and am having this problem. The dealership that it was purchased from is 6 hours away from me and my local dealership will not help me. is there a aftermarket splitter or power module that will fix this problem?? if not i guess i will have to break down and buy new screens to go back in theses spots

if you rs3 still under warranty with scion tell them to check there toyota bulletins because it there and how to fix it. If you did any mods to the radio or wiring they will give you trouble because tech will walk them though every wire to check them

Thank you for this thread! My monitors have been going out for about six months now, only one on and it works fine, as soon as second comes on they go out.

I'm also going to try calling Visualogic as at 116,000 miles I'm surely out of warranty

Unhappy Same problem

Mine went out 3 years ago (within the 7 year warranty but 2K miles past the 75K warranty). I hate this problem, I now have a little girl who LOVES watching movies in the car (esp. long rides) and can only run one tv at a time (I just unplug the passenger one under the seat so no one accidently turns them both on at the same time). I read a step-by-stepper 2 years ago but never printed it out that showed with pics, how to replace everything and what parts you'll need (complete with part numbers). I know it's been years since some of you had this problem but what exactly needs replaced? There is 3 different things listed in this forum that could be replaced: the AV module, the control module (which what is the part number for it?) and the power supply module (unless these are all the same things but different names?). This is frustrating, I wonder if I can still call Toyota about this since it is something that EVERYONE seems to be having problems with in the RS 3.0, and MAYBE, HOPEFULLY they'll replace it?!
