What are the speaker sizes on the xB? and What are the best speakers to get?

 

6.5" in front doors
5.25" in cargo area.....

listen to as many speakers as you can and then decide according to your personal preference...


some good brands are:

JL Audio (in my tC)...MB Quart....Boston Acoustics....focal....diamond.....DLS...Elemental Design....CDT Audio....SEAS....Morel....

 

Thanks for the info SCI TC GUY! Much appreciated. Anyone care to suggest a brand and model number for door speakers in the xB? I have narrowed down the search to JL Audio XR650-CSI for the front doors. Any other suggestions from all???

 

Youll get a million different answers on which speakers are better .... It also depends on your price range ...
My favs are Alpine, Focal or MB Quart ... Just go to an Audio shop and listen to all the different speakers and see what you like ...
I went with the Alpine Type-S 6.5"/1" Components for the front doors ... I went with all Alpine in my car ... You can see some pics in my Cardomain Link in my sig ...

pioneers can be decent.....not the best for the price range though......never heard any polks in a car before....but always heard good stuff about them....

It really depends on how much you want to spend. I personally think the MB Quart QSD's are fantastic.....but are they worth $1000?? hell no.

True you can go to the net and pay less BUT you have to watch out for the non-authorized sellers. Just remember if you buy from a non-authorized sell you dont get the manifacture warranty. I spent about $700 extra for all my stuff BUT I got it from an Authorized dealer and I get all my Manifacture warranties (which I already used on my sub) Just use your head and if you plan on doing a big system, I would spend the extra bucks and get it from an authorized dealer!

 

Plus with buying off the net, you have no idea if that stuff is B-stock, NIB, or cheap knock-offs. I bought mine from Myer -Emco when I knew one of the managers there....got mine at cost ;)

 

the guys at tweeter said they're best speakers are polk momo, but i went to another place and they recommended kicker. What do you all think of Kicker stuff?
