Default Spedometer

I have 215/45/17's, am I going slower or faster than my spedometer say's?
I saw something about if I'm doing 60 I'm actually going 62. Also am I putting more mileage or less using tire size larger than stock.

Comments Please
Thanks
Bob

Check out this place: http://www.saturnperformance.com/tech/tiresize/

Just input the stock tire size and then the size you have now and it'll show the percentage of size difference and everything. It's a handy tool.

According to the link above, you're going 3.7% faster with that setup. So if you're going 60 on your speedometer, then you're actually going 62.2 mph. Hope this helps!

you're speedometer says you went less miles than you actually did. so it will look like your MPGs are worse, but it will also say that you have less miles on your odometer than you really do. just do the math and you can see the actual numbers.

Hey Everyone. Thanks for taking the time. I thought it was recording more miles not less. That works for me.
