Has anyone changed the color of their speedo needle?

I just installed a new speedo face and the background is black. It's a little difficult to see the needle at night. I'm wondering if anyone has painted their needle or actually made it so it lights up like the fuel and tach.

youll either have to get used to it like i did or paint the needle. Those are just led bolt ons and still wont make a black needle glow. That would drown the face you have out too, the darness to yours is whats hot so all that light would drown it.

 

same issue....recommend what type of paint? iridescent paint maybe???

I just ordered the econo green (for like $9) will see if it does the trick!

 

i thought of that but didnt want to spend 10 bucks for 3 drops of glow paint....let us know how it turns out

lol, yeah.....mines dark but i can see the tip of the needle so i can tell where its at....if i works out for ya i might try it

painted mine to match the autometers, use testors model paint in fl. orange

Which years low_down? It looks like 98ish to me. No, I take that back...2001 Eclipse Spyder. I don't know if they are specific to the Spyders, but my cousin had one and I remembered the air vents.
