Default "SRT" related question

First off i tried searching but just with the credentials: "SRT" i get 800 hits. The search doesn't seem to be helpful for a simple query. So mods, feel free to delete/lock this thread if needed i just needed a quick answer to a question.

So that said and done...i'm basically looking for the "SRT" function of our stock Head Unit's to be on at ALL times. I know that the SRT is only an option if an MP3 disc is inserted and from what i read earlier its basically an equalizer upgrade. I recently installed an Line-IN addition to accompany my MP3 player but I very much miss the SRT option i had using my MP3 cd's. So is there a way to override/ enable the SRT function so it can be used for radio purposes and/or LINE-IN purposes? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. I want the srt for my regular cds and my radio. I don't need the line in cuz my mp3 player has and equilizer so I use that with the equilier of the headunit and get some really good sounds.

If our headunits came with a mid-range control the headunit would sound really good. That's y it sounds so muddy.

Actually i love the sound setup in our cars. But thats keeping in mind that my last car was totally stripped and gutted so any kind of setup like the scion's sounded amazing..but as of now i'm so ____ed with the dramatic difference between the SRT on and off i just wanna pull the headunit out and replace it with something else.

I miss the 7band eq on my last car. Factory headunit with facotry 10yr old speakers hit pretty hard and clean for what it was. I just want my 40hz adjuster back.

yea but i believe out generation is way beyond any tangible forms of media..let alone music. And i'm horrible with cd's i really don't take good care of them in my car and the slightest scratch on an mp3 disc can take out lot more then a few seconds on a normal cd. So i said the hell with cd's and got the AUX-IN upgrade been happy since but i terribly miss the SRT function.
