You don't need anything special to clear the code, it will go away by itself once you get it in the right configuration.

If you want to wait, I will call the company that currently imports these to the US and ask them for another harness. I'm not sure how much it is, but your splash hub kit should have come with it.

the Grant uses a 5 bolt hub, don't remember the dimensions off hand
so no, the 6 bolt for everyone else won't work
guess I'll get it custom made
Grant does not believe in taking airbags off.....(poo$$ies)
I called and was reprimanded and reminded it is a federal offense.....:sniff:

The MOMO adapter comes with an srs bypass plug that fools the computer into thinking the airbag is still there. but I'm not sure if they have fixed the problem with the adapter not reaching in far enuff so you don't have to mess with the traction control module or ur turn signal switch a friend changed his at my house and it stopped me from changing mines.

I am so fed up with people owning companies that sell performance parts and not even knowing how they work or what they go into.

"well..... the computer says it's for this, so it must be right."
If it does not work, we would give you a full refund or replacement, and that was offered to you I hope. If , not call me up.
I apologize if the guy didnt know about the SCION hub, he may have been a honda/acura guy. WHich is understandable in my opinion, and nobody else was here at the time you called.

But I dont want you to have a bad taste in your mouth, Pease let me know what we can do to make you a satisfied customer.

Sincerely.

yeah it fits but it requires removing some vitals from ur steering area like the airbag disk looking thing & in turn u lose the turn signals from shutting off automatically im still working on making it work without going w/out

I took both the black and orange harness off and exposed the wires, i then duplicated the wires and fuse that came in the box. i believe the guy said it was a 1.5 ohm. anyway.

black harness side
(i have the black wire to the resistor, then resistor to fuse, then fuse to red wire)

orange harness side
(i have the yellow wire to the resistor, resistor to the fuse, fuse to the blue wire)

If this is wrong, please let me know so that I can get it fixed.

after i hooked everything up and click the car to the acc. position, the light came on but didn't go off.

I then disconnected both battery cables and let it sit for a while.

the light still came on. do i need to dealer to clear a code??

If you are still having problems, I called my friend and he would be more than happy to supply you with the part you are missing. Call me if you need the info.

Hello, Does this trick the computer to think that you have a driver airbag and will let the srs system work , or does it disables the light on the cluster?

The splash hub, which you can purchase through bbist (right steve)?

the hub should come with two sets of wires that have a fuse and inline resistor. The resistors are what equalize the load to tell the computer that there is an airbag.

I only received one in my kit and that is why I have been having this ongoing problem, but Steve is taking care of it for me and I should have that light problem fixed in a few days.

P.S. the srs system will still work, each airbag is on a separate circuit. The passenger side will still work. I have seen a few of the diagrams and they were explained to me this way, if I am wrong in any way, please let me know.

Hope this helps.

If the fitment of a Grant wheel is the same as a Momo, Sparco, or Nardi wheel, then YES!

For a grant steering wheel, all you should need to do is get a hold of someone at Autozone. They should be able to order it for you as they deal with Grant alot.
