Thanks.

Im gonna keeps the stock speakers and cd player and add a sub or 2. Ill let Circuit City or Best Buy do the install, so I don't have to worry bout messing up anything. I know nothing about can sound equipment, but I love music.

I'm gonna listen to it, before I consider doing anything....

than maybe just add a single sub or something....

But, its kind of hard to know if I haven't heard it yet.

i chose keep hu, replace speakers and add subs/amp

the stock hu should be fine since its poineer and since theres a sub option... it shouldnt be too hard to wire the subs and amp i had in my civic. all that will remain is the stock speakers which are typically paper speakers... those gotta go! toss in some pioneer speakers or whatever i decide sounds good... ill be a happy tC-er

The other day I sat in an xA and play a couple of songs and I was NOT impressed at all with the system. I did not expect greatness but I did expect much better sound quality.

I chose "none of the above" because I will keep the stock stereo for a few years. Then I will replace everything.

I spent a few thousand dollars on my current stereo.. I think I'm all done with that. If the stock system sounds decent (with the bazooka) I'm not going to touch it.

I think it's important to determine what your focus is before you start modding a car. I found that with my current car doing a JDM front end conversion and adding a killer system was fun for a little while, but it didn't really make the car fun to drive for the long term.

All of my money is going into suspension and performance this time around. A fairly quick good handling car is much more fun to drive in the long run, IMHO. Live and learn, right?

I'll probably spend $5 or $6k on a stereo system. The only problem with the car is that the rear seat reclines, so the typical hatchback placement won't work if you want to keep that functionality. Will probably have to be on the sides.

i'll probably end up picking up a new alpine receiver so i can get my JL 10w6s in there. Not sure what I'm gonna do about the enclosure yet. i have a budy that would be happy to set me up w/a custom-made box. Not sure what ill upgrade the speakers to yet. i'll either go all out and get the boston acoustics or just go w/a decent set of mb quartz components.

you would be surprised at how much the stock speakers sound when you replace the headunit. I was in a rush to get full components for the ride but now I'll wait a bit.

Just add some bass. Probably a bass tube, I'm not much of a stereo guy.

I guess I'm just weird, but I'm planning on replacing the headunit and keeping the speakers - unless they're really awful. I have a really nice JVC unit that you can personalize with pictures and stuff, change the color on, change all the settings, plays mp3's - and it was not cheap. However, I never bothered getting good speakers put into my car because I'm just waiting for it to die so I can have a good excuse to get the tc. My bf will probably want to replace the speakers at some point for me, but until he does I'll keep the stock.

I'll probably keep the stock stereo unless I can get a really nice deal from my friend. In which case I can replace the stereo and add a few more speakers or whatever else I want for cost. Then again it is quite a long shot but it could happen.
