Default Stock Head Unit fit on xA?

I've got an '05 xA with the stock Pioneer head unit. The angle of the head unit's face doesn't line up with the console, and it's driving me nuts!!! I remember reading somewhere that the '04 had a slightly different angle to the console, and so the HU was mounted with a different bracket...

Can anyone confirm this/confirm part numbers? I hate to jimmy up the HU mount to straighten things out if there's a 'correct' part that fixes the issue.

Thanks!

that doesn't sound right.. i had an 04 and the deck fit fine. check to make sure it wasn't a dealer screw-up, like they forgot to put in screws or something..

I had the dash apart and the HU out, everything is mounted well, screws all accounted for and tightly in place. The %$#@ thing just doesn't line up...

I found out there are three part numbers for the stock stereo, all with different date ranges, and three different brackets...

wow that's crazy!

i'd say yeah, rather than wasting time/money at the dealer, do a few adjustments with a dremel that's what i had to do with my aftermarket deck in the A

I've tried shimming up the bottom of the bracket, but it puts the top out of alignment... back to the drawing board.

Maybe I should just get an '06 head unit...
