I've got the stock Pioneer 6 disc changer on my 04 xa. Tried doing the 'edit mode' to change the welcome screen (hold the audio button when turning the key to acc, and wait for the horizontal line to change).

Whatever I try, it does not seem to work. Could it be that changing the welcome screen isn't part of the firmware of this head unit? Any suggestions?

 

i'm pretty sure u can still do it, i remember the first time i tried it it took a while for me to figure it out, i have to redo mine again cause i just unplugged the battery

 

does not work with the 6 disc changer. everybody and their brother has tried on mine and we were even using the manual. we did it on somebody's single disc and it worked.
